Reasons Why You Should Buy a Real Christmas Tree
Real Christmas trees are the original Christmas tree
Real Christmas trees look better, smell better, and nothing fits more into the American Christmas tradition. What you might not know is that they are just as convenient to set up as artificial trees, are lower cost, and can be delivered straight to your door.
Why get a real tree? Aren't they a hassle?
Our fresh, beautiful Christmas trees are delivered boxed to your door ready to go. Some can be shipped with the stand already attached! No hassle of pulling an artificial tree out of storage, putting it together and discovering what's broken.
Fresh trees are less expensive!
Artificial Christmas trees that look reasonably like a real tree are expensive. A fresh, real tree is a better choice economically. In addition, on average artificial Christmas trees are replaced every four years! So even over four years, the cost of a real tree is lower.
Environmentally Sound
Real trees are a natural product. They are a crop, just like corn or soybeans only they take longer to grow. Did you know that every acre of Christmas trees converts enough carbon dioxide to oxygen for 18 people every day? That means that real Christmas trees provide oxygen for about 18 million people! Christmas trees do not require irrigation. They are grown on farms here in the United States and cultivated in an environmentally safe and sustainable manner. And, of course, they are 100% biodegradable. More trees are planted every year than are harvested so the total population of Christmas trees is always increasing. Alternatively, artificial Christmas trees are made of plastic and other man-made materials that are not biodegradable and end up in landfills. Most artificial trees are imported from Asia.
Tree Recycling
Most municipalities have free curbside pickup of trees following the Christmas holiday. Check with your city or county offices. If not, you can always recycle it yourself at the nearest landscape recycling center.
